it's finally finish and done with. my past week was stress, crazy, sleepy and tired all rolled into one. haven't been sleeping well for days. it's either falling asleep with my notes in hand or sleeping at wee hours in the morning. i need my 12 hours sleep. or maybe i should make it 24. i've gotta catch up on my sleep.

with mock done i've come to realize that i've less than 2 months left till the real thing. reality hit. gosh. time is not just flying by. it's rocketing by. goodness. i think 'time' needs to chill out. we're almost coming to an end of 2009. everything is just speeding by. it's kinda scary.

p/s: i'm turning 20 in 6 months time. omg. oldddddd.

i saw this old man while taking the lrt today. somehow he reminds me of my grandfather who passed away last year. i sorta got teary eyed while looking at him. i remembered the times i had with my grandpa.

him sneaking me into his room to give me extra money for school.

him buying my favourite 'paper-wrapped chicken'.

him telling us stories of his younger days.

him listening to the hakka radio channel that i don't understand a word of.

him after the heart surgery.

him giving up smoking.

his smiley face when we go visit.

his funeral.

i wasn't there when he was admitted into the hospital. he didn't get to see him until his last breath. i'll always feel a pang of guilt when i think of that. learn to appreciate what you have. it might be too late later.

wrong color

i'm now having braces. and it's PINK!! not really this pink. but a more reddish pink. goodness. my friends that knew about it were like yerrr why pink de. -.- don't ask me why. i didn't getta choose what color i want. government hospital. what you expect.

i have to watch what i eat. no sticky stuff. no hard stuff. brush my teeth after every meal. bla bla bla. well at least i'd slim down. i'd better. not sure how long i have to put it on. 1 or 2 years at least. oh well, may as well start getting used to it. sighs.

cabut-ed again

last wednesday i went to the dentist again to extract the 2 remaining teeth. somehow the process was not as what i remembered. the anaesthetic jab sting a lil more this time. just glad that i'm done with the extraction part. next up is the binding of braces. in 2 weeks time. *gulps*

the doctor put in 8 rubber band kinda thing in on the same day. just before the extraction. 4 for each side. up and down. it's supposed to help create some gap in between my teeth for the braces. but it's very uncomfortable. when the the gap is big enough the rubber will fall off.

i can't eat hard stuff. it'll only push the rubber into my gums even more. which will then cause more pain. sobs. being the crybaby i am, i'm stuck with what people call baby food. soft and easy to be swallowed.

porridge, mushroom soup and mash potato were my lunch and dinner for the past few days. i even made my own mash potato out of scratch. much cheaper then bought. RM2+ worth of potatoes can be my meal for the whole day. quite easy actually. so don't be too shocked to find out i can actually cook. :P

i miss eating rice and noodles and sweet sour pork and french fries and.... it's endless.

happy mooncake/lantern festival~~ :D

as a kid, i used to love this day of the year. i mean, lanterns and candles? it's fun to watch those pretty candlelights burn in the dark. though the cleaning up is gonna be a little messy. burnt candles here and there. and the lanterns!! we used to play with those paper made lanterns. it's kinda troublesome to light them and we always end up burning them. i have no idea how many lanterns i've burnt/destroyed over the years of my childhood. not forgetting my siblings share too.

then my parents bought us lanterns that can be lit with batteries. some come with songs too. you just switch on and it'll sing for you. fuyoh. so modern. haha. no more burnt lanterns from then on.

but now, we no longer celebrate this day like we used to. no more lanterns. and sometimes no mooncake even. do you know they cost a bomb these days. freaking expensive. tsk tsk. i missed those days where we would go walking around the neighborhood with lanterns lighting our path. it was much safer last time. and i was a kid. things like this excites me. not any more i guess.

eat, laugh and be merry

the miaf had steamboat dinner together yesterday night. we all had to bring our own bowls and chopsticks and spoons. there were tons of food and 4 electrical steamboat pots boiling on separate tables. around 50 people turned up. everyone was walking around with their bowls in hand. and taking food from whichever pots they like. it's easy to know which pots are boiling as you can see from the people swarming over it. then ben and the rest will start running to those tables. it's our job to steal food from their bowls. sharing is caring. :P

all in all it was a good time of fellowship and tons of funny moments. though everyone left kinda early but i enjoyed it much. :D

we had another round of steamboat after church today. apparently ben's parents bought RM200 worth of food EACH. aunt felicia bought some too. pretty awesome that we managed to finish everything. though it took us 2 days. :P i'm not gonna eat any more steamboat for the year. kinda scared of it dy.

p/s: HAPPY RAYA to those celebrating. and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to those that are not. i only have 2 days off. pfft.

cabut-ed

went for extraction of 2 teeth today. another 2 is scheduled next next wednesday.

i was nervous crazyyyy. heard a lot from my friend's experiences. and it all summed up to 1 conclusion. it's gonna be really really really painful. but thank god it turned out okay for me. at 1 point i just wanted to quickly get it done and over with.

i had 2 injects of anaesthetic before extraction. painless. only felt the needle penetrating through and that's all. then there's the cabut-ing part. my doctor was pretty good. it took her less than 5 minutes to get both my teeth out. no digging or grilling or whatever scary scenes my friend put in my mind. it was just *shake shake shake* and *pull*. fast and steady. thank god.

mum was shocked that i came out so fast. even with the cotton in my mouth i couldn't stop talking. until finally she asked me to keep quiet and let my mouth rest.

was kinda worried that i'll start feeling the pain after the anaesthetic wears off. but when i started to feel my lips again, nothing happen. no pain. nothing. it just feels weird having 2 holes where my teeth was supposed to be. i just don't understand why it's not as painful as they claimed it to be. i went to government hospital okayyy. private hospitals are supposed to have better services isn't it. :P
